About
This intermediate Python series explores the NumPy (short for Numerical Python) library. NumPy arrays are essential for nearly all data science tools in Python, so time spent learning NumPy will prepare you for many aspects of data science. We'll follow Jake VanderPlas' Python Data Science Handbook.
Prerequisite: Software Carpentry's Plotting & Programming in Python, or Python competence gained otherwise.
The course will be held for four consecutive Thursday afternoons from 1pm to 4pm from Oct 31 to Nov 21 at the Jackson Laboratory campuses in Bar Harbor, Maine and Farmington, Connecticut. Participants must attend in person. Remote attendance from desks, home, or away will not be supported.
