In a new article in Genome Biology, JAX's Churchill lab performs an integrative multi-omics analysis of 58 genetically diverse Collaborative Cross strains to identify regulators of protein phosphorylation. The analysis highlights multiple targets of the PDK1 kinase, a regulator of mitochondrial function that shows reduced activity in a polygenic model of obesity and Type 2 diabetes.
