Zoey Bridges

Research Assistant III

Advancing health through research on Alzheimer’s and obesity.

I am a Research Assistant in the O'Connell Lab, where my work involves a wide range of responsibilities, including a variety of wet lab techniques such as electrophysiological experiments, western blotting, IHC staining, ELISA, RNA extraction, and microscopy. I also have extensive experience designing, onboarding, and running both new and existing behavioral experiments.

In addition to experimental work, I assist with managing day-to-day lab operations and coordinating collaborative efforts across research teams and departments. I help guide lab organization and mentor team members to support efficient, high-impact science.

I’m driven by a commitment to help others, and I hope that the work I perform will someday uncover insights that advance our understanding of neurodegenerative disease and improve long-term health outcomes for everyone.
