The Whole Scientist

Be sure to mark your calendars for The Whole Scientist course, which will focus on the development of critical skills for every scientist, including lab management, teaching/mentorship, and science communication such as grant writing.

Sponsored by The Jackson Laboratory (JAX), this course is scheduled for May 24-27, 2016 in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. The event will be facilitated by JAX faculty, staff and outside experts, including representatives from a variety of career paths in science. Attendees will emerge from the course with an Individual Development Plan to carry out some of the short-term and long-term goals identified throughout the course.

Beyond classroom learning, this course will feature an online, pre-course component, as well as post-course guidance, where participants will have the chance to apply skills through hands-on, experiential opportunities.

Limited scholarships may be available to attend this unique event. To register for the course and to learn more about scholarship opportunities, visit The Whole Scientist.
