The Jackson Laboratory (JAX), one of the world's leading nonprofit biomedical research organizations, is at the forefront of genetic and genomic research, combining animal, cell-based, and computational modeling strategies to understand and address human disease. We are seeking accomplished faculty at all ranks to join the mission-driven community at our research campus in Farmington, CT. JAX-Genomic Medicine boasts a unique blend of dynamic and established scientists from around the world, united in pursuit of a common goal: to translate genetic discoveries into improvements in human health.

We seek candidates with creative ideas, an integrative perspective, novel technologies in their experimental approaches, and a collaborative spirit to address important problems in human health and disease.

JAX is specifically interested in candidates that align with our current strengths in:

  • Aging
  • Cancer biology
  • Cell, tissue, and mouse models of disease
  • Computational biology and data science
  • Immunology

Application Requirements

Cover Letter

  • Provide a cover letter detailing your interest in a faculty position at JAX, qualifications, and alignment with the Laboratory’s research programs.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • A comprehensive CV that includes your academic background, mentoring experience, publications, presentations, grants, awards, and relevant professional service.

Research Statement (2 pages maximum)

  • Outline your past, current, and future research plans and projects.
  • Include a discussion of how your work contributes to your field and any interdisciplinary impact.

Letters of Recommendation:

  • Please arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted directly from professional references via email to [email protected]. Applications will not be considered complete until the letters have been received.
