Brian has overseen Protein Sciences (PS) since 2023 and the MSPC since 2022. Prior to that, he was a Mass Spectrometry Scientist II from 2020–2022 at JAX and an Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin from 2015–2020. He has diverse expertise in physiology, biochemistry, and applied mass spectrometry.
Protein Sciences comprises the Mass Spectrometry and Protein Chemistry Service (MSPC) and the Monoclonal Antibody and Protein Production Service (MAPP). MSPC personnel have expertise in mammalian physiology and mass spectrometry. MAPP personnel have expertise in biochemical assays, antibody production, and protein production. MSPC and MAPP are highly interactive, creating a cross-collaborative environment that facilitates teamwork between personnel to support investigator projects from conceptualization and planning through to the collection and final reporting of data.
