I work with Dr. Racine on his peripheral neuritis project. This project aims to dissect the genetic, cellular, and temporal mechanisms that contribute to peripheral neuritis in order to identify the underlying pathways of autoimmune-mediated neuropathies. This is essential for developing future preventive strategies, including screening patients with T1D to help identify those who are potentially at future risk for developing associated types of autoimmune neuritis.
