Dana Carroll joined JAX Research in January 2026 as the Vice President for Research Administration. Dana brings more than two decades of experience in research administration within higher education, offering deep expertise to strengthen the administrative infrastructure that supports JAX’s research enterprise. Throughout her career, Dana has demonstrated a strong commitment to operational excellence and fostering collaborative, innovative research environments. She has a proven record of promoting research integrity through harmonized policies and streamlining grants and contract administration. Her expertise spans operations, contracting, systems, training, and compliance, including human subjects research, animal welfare, and data privacy and security. At JAX, Dana will partner closely with faculty, scientists, and teams across legal, finance, HR, IT, and business development to advance research development, externally funded projects, research partnerships, and process efficiency. Her leadership will help build a robust culture of research excellence and support JAX’s continued growth.
Prior to JAX, Dana has held leadership roles at Northeastern University and UConn Health as well as managerial roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Yale University School of Medicine. She earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Connecticut.
