About

Join us for invited talks, abstract-selected presentations, satellite workshops and dedicated time for collaboration at Northeastern's Roux Institute — purpose-built for discovery on Portland's vibrant waterfront.

The meeting provides a collaborative forum to:

  • Share the latest discoveries in systems genetics and complex trait research.
  • Explore emerging technologies and experimental approaches.
  • Learn about innovative computational and analytical methods for dissecting complex biological systems.
  • Discover how multi-omics strategies are being used to connect genetic variation with phenotype.
  • Exchange ideas and build collaborations with investigators studying the biological basis of complex traits and disease.

Abstract submissions, travel award applications and early‑bird registration are due August 14!

The event schedule is currently being developed. For planning purposes, the conference will begin with a welcome reception on Sunday, November 8, and will conclude with a group dinner on Thursday, November 12. Satellite Discussions will be scheduled on Friday, November 13.

Featured sessions

  • The AI/ML Revolution in Complex Trait Research
  • Systems Genetics and Complex Traits in a Dish
  • High-Dimensional Systems Genetics & Multiomics
  • Genome Resources, Pangenomes & T2T Assemblies
  • Behavioral Phenotyping & Computational Analysis
  • Cross-Species Integration: From Model Organisms to Human Health

Support for trainees

The program includes mentorship roundtables with senior faculty and technical workshops to build skills.

Meeting participants will also contribute to a community white paper on the future of complex trait analysis, to be published in Genetics or G3.

Travel awards are available to support your attendance.
