The aim of this program is to build local capacity in an area often overlooked in global health—rare diseases that remain underdiagnosed and under-researched in many regions. The course will emphasize scalable techniques, collaborative opportunities, and the potential of cell modeling to accelerate diagnostics and treatment discovery. Ultimately, the program seeks to empower researchers, clinicians, and students in resource-limited settings to contribute meaningfully to global rare disease research while developing solutions tailored to their own communities.
