 <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25915120/" target="_blank">25915120</a>) fused to exon 54 of the mouse Piezo2 gene. smFP-FLAG encodes 10 FLAG peptides fused to a darkened green fluorescent protein (GFP)-like fluorescent protein scaffold. This constitutive reporter has enabled the localization of Piezo2 expression in somatosensory neurons. Expression of the targeted gene is not disrupted, and mice show no overt phenotype.
