Cdk6 (cyclin-dependent kinase 6) encodes a protein that is key to cell cycle processes that drive cell division. Cdk6T2A-td-sfGFP knock-in mice express superfolder GFP (sfGFP) from an undisrupted mouse Cdk6 (cyclin-dependent kinase 6) gene. The sfGFP can be readily detected by flow cytometry and indirect immunofluorescence with the anti-GFP antibody and confocal microscopy of brain tissue. This line would be useful for investigation of proliferating stem cell populations in the brain, intestine, and skin, as well as other organs.
