Ctnnb1 (catenin (cadherin associated protein), beta 1) is part of the canonical Wnt/Ctnnb1 signaling pathway and plays a role in epithelial polarity, cell-cell adhesion, and gene transcription as part of the canonical WNT/CTNNB1 signaling pathway. mTq2-Ctnnb1 knock-in mice express an mTurquoise2-tagged CTNNB1 protein from the Ctnnb1 start codon. The mTq2/Ctnnb1 fusion protein is fully functional and localizes to the membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus. mTq2 expression in the cell membrane is visible by direct fluorescence. mTg2-Ctnnb1 levels in the cytoplasm and nucleus are much lower but can also be detected by direct fluorescence depending on the experimental setting and Wnt/Ctnnb1 signaling status of the cells. mTurquoise2 is an enhanced monomeric variant of cyan fluorescent protein (CFP) derived from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria. Homozygous knock-in mice are viable and fertile with no obvious phenotype. This strain may be useful as an epithelial cell marker and for visualization and quantification of the endogenous WNT/CTNNB1 signaling pathway.

mTq2-Ctnnb1 knock-in mice carry an mTurquoise2 reporter inserted in the start codon of the Ctnnb1 (catenin (cadherin associated protein), beta 1) gene. This strain may be useful as an epithelial cell marker and for visualization and quantification of the endogenous WNT/CTNNB1 signaling pathway.

Typically mice are recovered in 12-16 weeks. Contact Customer Service to place an order or for more information.
