R26-GFP_KI-ABE (Adenine Base Editor) reporter knock-in mice were created using CRISPR/cas9 genome editing to insert a CAG promoter controlling expression of a non-functional Venus (GFP) reporter (with a stop engineered at codon 81) in the endogenous Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus. When an ABE together with a guide RNA that binds at the mutant site is introduced into cells, the stop is converted into a glutamine codon and the reporter will express GFP. Homozygotes are viable and fertile. As the mice are characterized, we will modify the strain description and add phenotype data. This strain may be useful for reporting out CRISPR-targeting base editors (specifically the A base editor).
