These Grcc10 M1A mice carry a CRISPR/Cas9-generated A to G base pair change in the first nucleotide of the mouse Grcc10 (gene rich cluster, C10 gene) start codon. This point mutation corresponds with one found in the patients with recessive corpus callosum hypoplasia. Homozygotes demonstrate a slightly reduced corpus callosum thickness. Heterozygotes are viable and fertile. Homozygotes demonstrate pre-weaning lethality with incomplete penetrance.
