Exons 3 and 4 of the mouse Sned1 (sushi, nidogen and EGF-like domains 1) gene are flanked by loxP sites in these Sned1fl mice. Cre recombinase-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a knock-out allele. Mice homozygous for this floxed allele are viable and fertile, and do not present an overt phenotype. This strain was derived from a knock-out first, conditional ready, lacZ-tagged strain (see Stock No. <a href="https://www.jax.org/strain/032246">MMRRC 65813</a>).&nbsp;
