C57BL/6J-Tg(Cbln1-cre)NIDA169Htz/Mmjax

Stock number: 031394
Product name: Cbln1-Cre(NIDA169)
Research areas: Neurobiology Research, Research Tools

Description

These BAC transgenic mice express Cre recombinase from the mouse Cbln1 (cerebellin 1 precursor protein) gene. Recombination has been observed in mitral neurons in the olfactory bulb, projection neurons in the entorhinal cortex and granule neurons in the cerebellum.

Development

Mouse BAC RP24-153C2 was modified to incorporate Cre recombinase under the control of the Clbn1 promoter. The modified BAC was microinjected into the pronucleus of a C57BL/6J zygote and randomly integrated into the mouse genome. The strain was maintained on C57BL/6J by the donating laboratory. This is founder line number NIDA169.
