This bacTRAP transgenic strain, incorporating an EGFP/Rpl10a ribosomal fusion protein under the control of a Slc6a2 (solute carrier family 6 (neurotransmitter transporter, noradrenalin), member 2) BAC, can be used to identify neurons expressing the norepinephrine transporter and allow for the isolation of polysomes and translating mRNAs from these neurons. Expression of the genomic Slc6a2 is expected to be unperturbed. 

Founder lines JD1537 (see Stock No. <a href="https://www.jax.org/strain/031150"">031150</a>) and JD1538 are reported to have a very similar expression pattern, but represent independent transgenic insertions.
