Mice homozygous for the fused phalanges 4 Jackson mutation have fused or missing third digits of the hind feet.

Development

The fused phalanges 4 Jackson mutation arose spontaneously in the BALB/cByJ-Map7^mshi/J strain at The Jackson Laboratory and the Map7^mshi mutation was selectively bred out. In 2013 sperm was cryopreserved from Fbn2^fp-4J homozygous males.
