Description

NFKB2/p80HT transgenic mice express an C terminal truncation of the NFKB2 protein in lymphocytes. Hemizygous p80HT_808 mice display a marked expansion of peripheral B cell population and develop predominantly B-lineage lymphomas including small B- cell lymphoma, large diffused B-cell lymphoma and plasma cell tumors between 12-18 months.

NFKB2/p80HT transgenic mice express an C terminal truncation of the NFKB2 protein in lymphocytes. Hemizygous p80HT_808 mice display a marked expansion of peripheral B cell population and develop predominantly B-lineage lymphomas including small B- cell lymphoma, large diffused B-cell lymphoma and plasma cell tumors between 12-18 months.

Development

The transgenic construct contains the coding sequence for human NFKB2 p80HT under the direction of an H2-K^b promoter and an immunoglobulin mu chain enhancer. p80HT is an NFKB2/p100 C-terminal truncation mutant that was identified from a human T cell lymphoma cell line (HuT78). The p80HT protein contains 1-665 amino acids of p100 at the N terminus and another three heterologous amino acids (serine-alanine-serine) at the C terminus. The construct was microinjected into (C57BL/6J and SJL/J)F2 fertilized eggs. Founder line 808 was established and crossed to the C57BL/6J inbred strain for 10 generations. Transgene expression is directed to lymphocytes.

Line 808 was generated.
