This transgenic strain expresses yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) under the transcriptional control of the mouse integrin alpha X (Cd11c) promoter which is exclusively expressed in dendritic cells of the immune system.

Development

Yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) was placed under the transcriptional control of the mouse integrin alpha X (Cd11c) promoter. The transgenic vector was introduced to B6CBAF1 fertilized embryos. This line was backcrossed to BALB/c for 10 generations by the donating laboratory.
