This strain was created by mating B6.129P2-Apoe^tm1Unc/J (Stock No. 002052) to B6.BKS-(D12Mit182-D12Mit2)/Pgn (Stock No. 006056). The colony is homozygous for Apoe^tm1Unc and Ath6^C57BLKS/J, which is located within the D12Mit182-D12Mit2 interval. Dr. Beverly Paigen generated this strain at The Jackson Laboratory; the strain was cryopreserved in 2008.
