Mice homozygous for the Nr5a1^tm1Klp (formerly Ftzf1^tm1Klp) targeted mutation exhibit adrenal and gonadal agenesis. There is also an absence of the ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus leading to impaired expression of gonadotrope specific markers.
