Detailed description

This chromosomal translocation was induced by gamma-rays 1000R in B6D2F1mice and placed on a C57BL/6J-T/T strain background.

Development

A B6D2F1 male was irradiated with 1800 Rad then bred to a C57BL/6J female. The translocation was identified and backcrossed to C57BL/6J for two generations then maintained by sibling intercrossing, generating a line homozygous for T(2D;11B5)4Dn. When this strain reached generation N3F13 embryos were generated from homozygous males bred to C57BL/6J females. All cryorecovered pups will be heterozygous for the translocation.
