This congenic strain carries the diabetes-resistant MHC from the NON/LtJ strain (#002423) and is used as a comparison to the NOD/LtJ (#001976). These mice exhibit some but not all of the immune dysfunctions of NOD/LtJ mice. These mice are useful for dissecting the role of MHC versus non-MHC genes in producing aberrant immunophenotypes.
