These congenic mice carry the Glo allele from the MA/MyJ strain and the H2 haplotype from the LT/SvEi background strain.
The b allele of Glo1 was backcrossed from MA/MyJ onto LT/SvEi for 10 generations before intercrossing. In 1990 LT/SvEi females were bred with N10F31 homozygous male to generate embryos for cryopreservation. (Eppig and Eicher, 1983.)

Therefore, we cannot guarantee a strain's phenotype will meet all expectations. To ensure that JAX® Mice will meet the needs of individual research projects or when requesting a strain that is new to your research, we suggest ordering and performing tests on a small number of mice to determine suitability for your particular project. We do not guarantee breeding performance and therefore suggest that investigators order more than one breeding pair to avoid delays in their research.
