Detailed description

This congenic strain carries a recombinant H2 haplotype consisting of K^b I^k S^k D^q, and is useful in producing specific anti-H-2K^b and anti-I-A^b antisera.

Development

The B10.MBR-H2^bq1 congenic strain was derived from a backcross of the B10.AKM congenic strain (See Stock No. 000466) to C57BL/10; the recombinant haplotype being discovered in this backcross. Embryos were cryopreserved in 2007.
