This C3H congenic strain carries the H2g haplotype from the HTG/GoSfSn inbred strain (Stock No. 000556).
This is a “Congenic Resistant” strain of mice developed by George D. Snell with Marianna Cherry in their studies of histocompatibility. [Snell, G.D. 1978. In Origins of Inbred Mice (H.C. Morse III, ed.). Academic Press, New York.]
The strain was backcrossed 12 generations to C3H/HeDiSn before being maintained by sib matings. Embryos were cryopreserved in 1990 at generation N12F46.
