This assay is capable of distinguishing hemi from hom. A transgene insertion site is known to be on mouse Chr 14. JR10799 was used to determine this transgene insertion site, however, JR10799 contains both Tg(SNCA*A53T)1Nbm and Tg(SNCA*A53T)2Nbm. A second insertion site is known to be in mouse Chr 3.
This assay is NOT able to be used for copy number evaluation. If this is required, it is suggested to type by qPCR.
