JAX provides extensive resources and support to its research faculty and staff through an array of services and shared facilities. The service and support programs offer the latest equipment and technologies, and they are staffed with highly skilled dedicated personnel. In addition to advanced capabilities in microscopy, mass spectrometry and protein chemistry, histopathology, flow cytometry, PDX research and development and more, JAX has services that drive the development of novel, advanced methodologies in:
-
Cellular Engineering: Employs CRISPR/Cas9 to create custom-edited cell lines with a range of allele types, including knockouts, single-base variants and conditional loss-of function alleles.
-
Single Cell Biology: Cell capture enrichment and isolation; molecular characterization; and analysis of single-cell data sets.
-
Genome Technologies: Offers the latest technologies for short- and long-read genome sequencing, epigenetic analyses and gene expression profiling.
-
Center for Biometric Analysis (Phenotyping): Provides phenotyping expertise and testing facilities encompassing mouse behavior, physiology, cardiovascular biology, metabolism and in vivo imaging.
-
Microbial Genomic Services: Provides both wet bench and computational facilities, including BSL-2 laboratory space, for sample preparation, analysis, cell culture and sequencing.
