I am a postbaccalureate research fellow at the Roopenian lab studying autoimmunity and specifically, systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus). I am continuing my studies that I started as an undergraduate academic intern since the winter of 2014. I am involved in multiple projects—1) decoding FcRN-humanized mice genetics for monoclonal antibody therapy, 2) visually characterizing and quantifying lupus-inducing Il21-producing immune cells, and 3) drug trial in various mice models of lupus.
