Drives JAX’s global fundraising strategy and cultivates relationships between senior leaders and high-profile philanthropic prospects.
As interim vice president for advancement, Nancy Fox leads a fully remote 22-member team and works closely with President and Chief Executive Officer Lon Cardon and senior leaders to build positive relationships with top donors to The Jackson Laboratory. Appointed in this interim role in July 2022, Nancy concurrently serves as director of development for principal gifts, a role in which she helped reimagine JAX’s stewardship program and led principal gift efforts for two record-breaking years, under the leadership of the former vice president.
Nancy came to JAX in 2017 following a distinguished career in higher education fundraising capped by her service as director of development at Colby College. It was the culmination in a series of progressively advanced fundraising roles at Colby that showcased her commitment to relationship-based fundraising. As a leading philanthropic advisor and strategic planner, Nancy has worked with donors across the country and in key global markets such as London and Paris. And as a dedicated leader for the Advancement division, she works to foster a culture of empowerment, open communication, and appreciation that she believes is key to a team’s success.
Nancy serves as president of the Maine Planned Giving Council, a state chapter of the National Association of Gift Planners, that promotes the benefits of charitable giving through planned gifts and encourages donors to incorporate planned giving into their philanthropy. She received her B.S. in Business Management and her M.B.A. from Thomas College and resides in Maine.
