Miko Dai, BA

Research Assistant I

I am interested in how host genome and environmental factors influence the role of gut microbiome in Alzheimer's disease development.

I graduated from Middlebury College in 2020 with a BA in Molecular biology and biochemistry, where I studied conditioned fear and drug withdrawal in mice using genomics approaches.

Upon joining the Kaczorowski Lab, I hope to study cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease through the lens of gut microbiome. I am interested in learning how host genome interacts with environmental inputs, such as a high fat diet, to modify gut microbiome, and how the resulting composition of gut microbiome contribute to or protect against cognitive aging.
