Jessica Grassmann, MS

Cellular Biologist III

Helps researchers to answer their questions related cell biology by conducting single cell and spatial multiomics experiments. Also performs research and development of new single cell technologies.

I started working at JAX in 2018 at Dr. Williams lab, where I worked for 4 years. Our research goals were to define the role of Tfh13 cells in eliciting anaphylactic IgE to allergens and identify specific molecular targets that could be leveraged diagnostically and therapeutically for allergies. I have also studied WFDC21P, a long non-conding RNA highly expressed in human bronchial epithelial cells and its role in asthma.

In the beginning of 2022, I joined the Single Cell Biology lab and since then have been applying and developing my skills in molecular biology. I perform specialized single cell and spatial multiomics experiments, while focusing on obtaining high quality results for our customers and on my communication with them, explaining our services and methods. I am also a good team player that likes to help, teach, and learn from my colleagues.
