Salmonella Mouse Model Resource
Immunity to Salmonella infection is often studied using susceptible or resistant laboratory mouse inbred strains. Many features of human Salmonellosis are reproduced in the murine models, including the route of intestinal entry, tissue and cellular tropism of bacteria, the activation of innate and adaptive immunity and the development of chronic bacterial shedding and relapsing disease. JAX® Mice are supported by our extensive online resources, knowledgeable technical support team and world-renowned research staff.
