You Can Help Us Find a Cure for Caroline

Scientists at JAX have developed mouse models in an effort to find a cure for Caroline, a six-year-old girl with a rare neurological disorder.  While it is specifically tailored to Caroline’s unique gene mutation and can only be applied to her, the approach could be applied to many other gene mutations that cause other dominant neuromuscular diseases and ALS.

As part of our JAX extended family – a network of scientists, employees, donors and families working together to improve human health – you can help bring a start-to-finish approach to understanding the genetic basis for rare diseases.

With your help, we are prepared to move quickly to reduce the heavy toll of rare diseases on patients and their families.
