I’ve shared with you the story of Caroline, a seven-year-old girl with a rare neurological disorder that prevents her from standing, walking, fully using her hands, or breathing comfortably. Caroline’s family has turned to JAX for help.
As a nonprofit biomedical research institute focused on genetics and genomics research to prevent or cure disease, JAX is exploring the genetic mechanisms behind the many different diseases that can affect all of us. This includes cancer, Alzheimer’s and diabetes—diseases that affect millions of people—and rare disorders like Caroline’s.
