We are counting on you.

We are proud to be able to contribute to the global biomedical research community, and we are so grateful to have you with us in our mission to improve human health.

JAX is applying its expertise in human genomics and mammalian genetics to support the quickly evolving public health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic in two important ways:

We are utilizing our expertise and state-of-the-art breeding techniques to rapidly grow a new mouse colony for potential use in coronavirus research. The goal is to provide researchers with the models they need to develop a vaccine.

The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine (JAX-GM), located in Farmington, CT, is partnering with the Connecticut Department of Health, UConn Health and Hartford Hospital to provide the State with additional coronavirus testing capacity. Ultimately, this will enable the State of Connecticut to test more people, faster.

Researchers around the world count on JAX. Can we count on you?
