About
Machine learning is essential to extracting knowledge from data. It focuses on prediction that can be used to make decisions for future observations. Machine learning is widely used in the sciences, and can shed light on personalized cancer treatment, medical diagnoses, drug discovery, and much more. This one-day workshop features hands-on practice with the Python library scikit-learn. Our instructor will be Dr. Andreas Mueller, a research scientist at the Columbia University Data Science Institute and core developer of scikit-learn.
Prerequisite: Competence in the Python programming language.
This workshop is only open to Jackson Laboratory employees.
