This symposium will focus on linking three-dimensional (3D) genome biology with neuroscience. 3D genome organization, or genome topology, is known to be critical for transcriptional regulation. This event launches a Human Frontier Science Program research effort that seeks to discover at least some forms of chromatin topology codes that might exist affecting transcription regulation in neuroplasticity such as memory/learning and may be connected to cognitive disorders. The goal of this one-day symposium is to enable and encourage interaction and collaboration between scientists working on the 3D genome and neuroscientists interested in neuroplasticity, memory and learning and neurological diseases.
