This four-day intensive hands-on workshop is for those wishing to obtain advanced training in surgical techniques for the laboratory mouse.
In addition to biomethods and rodent survival surgery guidelines, a wide range of surgical procedures are taught including:
Additional procedures may be covered upon request and as time and ACUC approval permits.
Participants should have basic surgery knowledge and the ability to work under a dissecting microscope.
This workshop can be used for continuing education units for AALAS re-certification.

The registration fee includes lodging (minimum double occupancy) from June 13-18, 2016. Lodging accommodations will be dorm-style housing at College of the Atlantic (COA). Transportation will be provided from COA to the course venue for the duration of the event. COA will only accommodate registered participants. Please refer to the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce for lodging alternatives available for purchase.
