Highseas Conference Center

Highseas lodging 1For most events, shared lodging accommodations will be at Highseas Conference Center, a spacious mansion built in 1912, overlooking the entrance to Frenchman Bay and adjacent to beautiful Acadia National Park. This is casual, dormitory-style housing consists of shared bedrooms and bathrooms. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are typically provided at Highseas, including a lobster and steak dinner one night during the event.

Highseas cannot accommodate families or pets. Please refer to the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce for alternative lodging options.

Rooming Assignments and Special Requests

In rare cases we may be able to secure a single room, however, attendees should assume that they will be in a shared room. Roommates are assigned by the course event planner and will are paired by course participants of the same gender. Participants are welcome to indicate a roommate preference by contacting the event planner.

If a participant absolutely requires single room accommodations, they should plan to stay offsite and arrange daily transport to the workshop. Please contact the event planner with any concerns.

Dates of Stay and Check-In / Check-Out Procedures

Please view the event website, which will list the check-in and check-out date for each event. Closer to the date of the course the event planner will send out a detailed email with arrival instructions and additional information. Generally, check-in is around 3:00pm the night before the course starts and check-out is generally the evening of the last day of the course or the following morning by 9:00am. Please refer to the event website and the event planner as this information varies by event.
