Brent Berwin, Ph.D., Director, Courses & Conferences Brent received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999 followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University. He joined Dartmouth in the fall of 2004 as a faculty member in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology and also served as Associate Director of Education for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center. In the fall of 2019 he joined The Jackson Laboratory as Director of Courses & Conferences |

Jennifer Corrigan, M.S., Associate Director, Courses & Conferences Jennifer specializes in the development and delivery of hands-on technical workshops both in the U.S. and abroad. These workshops focus on the use of the laboratory mouse in biomedical research. She brings over two decades of experience in mouse genetics, bioinformatics, nomenclature, mouse surgery and assisted reproductive technologies to the JAX Genomic Education team. |

Erin McDevitt, B.A., Manager, Event Planning Erin manages a portfolio of courses and workshops, develops event budgets and manages the registration efforts of Courses and Conferences. Erin brings over 18 years of experience to the Courses and Conferences team. |

Katie Hodgkins, B.A., Course & Conference Planner Katie joined the education team in 2019 and helps plan, organize and manage administrative support activities for scientific courses, workshops, symposia and other education program events. Previously, Katie was the Recruiting Coordinator in the human resources department at JAX. She graduated in 2016 from College of the Atlantic and has a strong interest in natural history illustration and bridging science and the arts. |

Lothar Holzke, B.A., Course & Conference Planner
Lothar provides operational and logistical assistance for courses, workshops and other events supporting educational initiatives. He joined the Laboratory's Advancement Services team in early 2018 but made the switch to Education in 2020, coming with a diverse background in philanthropy, nonprofit administration, communications and special events. Lothar holds a B.A. from College of the Atlantic with a focus in Fine Art and Creative Writing. His other interests include mystery novels, soapmaking, and spending time with his dog and best friend, Prim. |

Alison Kieffer, M.B.A., Genomic Education Lab Coordinator Alison received her bachelor's degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Maine at Presque Isle and her MBA from Husson University. Alison manages the Teaching the Genome Generation professional development program, organizes lab courses, and manages the training lab. |

Leanne Miceli, A.S., Technical Training Specialist
Leanne is focused on providing hands-on instruction to course and workshop attendees. Leanne brings 17 years of assisted reproductive technologies, sample management and biobanking experience with her. After she received her associates degree in Veterinary Science from Becker College she moved from Connecticut to Maine. Leanne enjoys spending time outside with her family working on 4H projects, bee keeping and photography. |
