Associate Professor and Director of Research, Department of OtolaryngologyCase Western Reserve University
Kumar N. Alagramam, Ph.D., earned his Masters in Biotechnology and Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He received postdoctoral training at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He and his team study the genetics of hearing loss using the mouse model. These studies help us understand the role of genes involved in hair cell development and function and yield animal models of hereditary hearing loss for basic and/or translational research.
