Mr. Stevenson has been executive vice president and chief operating officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific since August 2017, with responsibility for all of Thermo Fisher’s life sciences-related businesses as well as the company’s innovation and digital strategies. He joined the company as executive vice president and president, Life Sciences Solutions, through the acquisition of Life Technologies in 2014. Mr. Stevenson previously served as president and chief operating officer of Life Technologies, and president and chief operating officer of Applied Biosystems prior to its merger with Invitrogen Corporation in 2008. He received his M.B.A. from Henley Management School in the U.K. and his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Reading, also in the U.K.
