David Roux

Chair, Board of Trustees, The Jackson Laboratory

David Roux is chair of The Jackson Laboratory, an independent biomedical research institute.  He also serves on the boards of Boston Scientific, Bristol Seafoods, Bowdoin College and The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at Washington University. Mr. Roux co-founded Silver Lake in 1998 and served as chairman, CEO and senior director until his retirement in 2018. Earlier in his career, he worked as a senior executive at Oracle, Liberate, Lotus and Datext.  He grew up in Maine and attended Harvard College (A.B.), Kings College at Cambridge University (M.Phil.) and Harvard Business School (MBA).
