Kelvin is currently VP of Technology Development at Pacific Biosciences. He was previously CEO and founder of Circulomics Inc, a biotech startup that developed sample preparation products for long-read sequencing. After completing his PhD and post-doctoral work at Johns Hopkins, he founded Circulomics and led it until its acquisition by Pacific Biosciences. Prior to grad school, he worked for a number of other startups in biotech, medtech, and optical telecom and is an inventor on numerous micro-, nano-, and single molecule technologies.
