Olivier Fedrigo’s work has been focusing on long read sequencing for near a decade. After spending 12 years at Duke University, he is now Senior Research Scientist and the Director of the Vertebrate Genome Laboratory at The Rockefeller University. He is part of the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP) that aims to generate high-quality reference genome assemblies for all vertebrates. His group is multidisciplinary and includes wet-lab and dry-lab approaches.His lab has produced data and assemble more than 100 genomes for the VGP as well as developed new analysis tools.
