Liam O’Connor is the COO of Zipline, the global instant logistics leader with a mission to provide every human on Earth with instant access to vital medical supplies. Zipline designs, manufactures and operates the world’s largest automated on-demand delivery service, which to date has made more than 190,000 commercial deliveries, saved thousands of lives, and transformed healthcare in Rwanda and Ghana. Zipline is the trusted instant logistics partner for governments, global brands and leading healthcare systems. Mr. O’Connor started his career in general management at McMaster-Carr. Subsequently, he joined Apple to lead the Strategic Silicon business at a time when Apple grew to become the world's largest buyer of semiconductors. Following his years at Apple, Mr. O’Connor was recruited by Elon Musk to run Tesla's global supply chain. He and his teams worked tirelessly to enable the development and launch of products like the Model X, Model 3, Tesla Powerwall and Supercharging stations as well as on internal efforts like the construction of Tesla's Gigafactories in the U.S. and abroad. Immediately prior to joining Zipline, Mr. O’Connor was a part of the leadership team at Lyft in the dual capacities of chief procurement officer and president for Lyft's Micro-mobility business.
