Visiting Investigator Program

The Jackson Laboratory has provided outside investigators with access to and use of its unique resources since 1929. Temporary research appointments ranging from one week to more than a year are available. The plan allows visiting investigators to use our facilities to screen for alterations in CNS function that would not otherwise be studied here. Visiting investigators proposing a new screen will be able to arrange to visit and set up either a primary or secondary screen depending on its nature. If a screen proves valuable, it may be incorporated as a component of the NMF, assuming resources are available. Otherwise, as stipulated in the RFA, the visiting investigator is responsible for funding. Space can be reserved in four, eight, or twelve-month units depending on the screen. We look forward to continued outreach to the genetics community. For further information please contact Dr. Wayne Frankel at wnf@jax.org.
